March 8, 1911 just over a million women and men rally to mark the first International Women's Day.

In some countries IWD is a declared national holiday. But every get together, no matter how big or small, helps highlight IWD, and the need for continued vigilance and action.

Not a woman? Not a problem.

From backyard barbies, to picnics, and highly organised galas, everyone can be a part of International Women's Day 2012. Fellas, why not organise an office morning tea?

The official IWD breakfast hosted by UN Women Australia (Perth Chapter) will be held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre on Friday 9th March 2012.  For more details and to register, please click this link: http://internationalwomensday.org.au/iwd/Events/wa
